It’s that time of year again.

I feel like we just did this, last year went be extremely fast and this year will only go by faster!

This year both of my kids are in school which means we had to do back to school shopping for two kids which is crazier and obviously more expensive.

back to school supply list

When it comes to buying supplies for your child’s class, wait until back to school night or the first day of school and get a list of supplies that are needed, since every class and grade are different, different supplies are needed. If you can buy large multipacks and split them between the kids and stock up on the sale items that you know you’ll use throughout the year.

Out list included:

  • antibacterial wipes
  • tissues
  • lined paper
  • note pads
  • folders
  • pencil box
  • pencils
  • markers
  • colored pencils
  • erasers
  • highlighters
  • white board markers
  • crayons
  • ruler
  • scissors
  • white board eraser

For my kindergartener we also got craft supplies:

  • popsicle sticks
  • colorful pipe cleaner
  • pom poms
  • fun fetti
  • rhinestones
  • paper plates
  • and baby wipes

Some of the items needed I already had on hand but most we purchased new.

This was the first time that a teacher had asked for craft supplies and I was more than happy to provided them. I want my kindergartener to learn and explore, play and create, she’s an artist and loves being creative. So anything to help encourage that is great. When my oldest was in Kindergarten he hardly ever did crafts and it was sad, so I will completely encourage and support crafts.

Tips:

Buy in bulk if you can, use coupons if you have them, walmart and staples will price match, wait until you get a list from the teacher before you shop or you may end up with supplies the kids don’t need.
Have you done your back to school supply shopping yet. What did you get?
