A German Pancake! Have you ever had one? If not you’re missing out!!!

I had never had a German Pancake until I met my husband, it was one of his favorite childhood foods his mom made it all of the time and it’s now one of my favorite breakfast foods too. It’s kinda like a crepe only better!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 c. all purpose flour
  • 6 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cube of butter

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat oven to 425°. In a 9″ x 13″ baking dish add your butter and place in the oven so the butter will melt in the dish. Next in a blender add the rest of your ingredients blend until fully mixed and pour into your baking dish with the melted butter. Bake for 20 minutes or until sides rise up and turn golden brown. Cut into small portions and serve hot with syrup and fresh fruit like strawberries, blueberries, raspberries or blackberries.

Also would be great if you wanted to mix a little cinnamon, nutmeg or vanilla extract in with the ingredients or serve it with powdered sugar on top. Really this recipe can be made quite a few different ways.
